Warnings and Safety Information:
CUTTING INJURIES: The most common hazard of using knives is the risk of cutting injuries. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.
KNIFE SLIP: Inadequate or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injury.
Injuries due to falls: To prevent knives from falling and causing injury, they should never be left unsecured or near the edge of a table.
Dull knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury because they require more force and are more likely to slip. Knives should therefore be properly resharpened on a regular basis.
Inappropriate use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade but also lead to accidents.
