The olive wood of the handle is crafted in the shape of a pistol, tapering towards the end. And because this is a natural material, its appearance varies from piece to piece. Sometimes more golden yellow, sometimes more orange, but always from a Mediterranean region. The Virobloc system – a safety ring that has been used since 1955 in models 6 and up – holds the blade in position when it is open and closed.
