The Bubinga wood of the handle is worked into a pistol shape that tapers towards the end. And because this is a natural material, its appearance appears individually different. It is a very heavy, firm and hard wood, also known as ‘African Rosewood’. When it comes into contact with iron, it can turn grey at the corresponding contact points. Due to CITES regulations, bubinga will no longer be used; padauk will be used in future. The Virobloc system – a safety ring that has been used since 1955 in models size 6 and up – keeps the blade in position when it is open and also when it is closed. Even if you are bursting with rage, the Veitl will not open in your pocket unless you want it to. In France, this series, with the model numbers 8, 10, 12 and 15, is used by anglers and fisherwomen alike. The belt pouch is washable.
Good fishing!
