Textile companies prefer this type of weaving scissors. The blades are blue-tempered during grinding, which ensures a high and lasting sharpness. The lower beak is ground bluntly, so that the fabric is not ruined. Depending on the desired operation, such as pricking or burning out fabrics, the pricking scissors can be turned so that either the pointed side is up or down. The KLAAS cutting tool from Solingen is a rarity and therefore difficult to come by. Store it carefully, clean it after use if necessary and dry the non-stainless carbon steel. A drop of oil now and then on the cutting blades, as well as the pivot point, is all the care it needs.
