A DOUBLE PLATINE with finely branched tendrils is emblazoned on the back of the handle of this pocket knife from FORGE DE LAGUIOLE. As if the juniper had captured freckles while sunbathing through the foliage. So appears the grain of the fragrant wood, which is often added to smoking as a flavorful refinement of ham and fish.
Seven inlaid pins form a shepherd's cross that rests in a handle. That is why a LAGUIOLE pocket knife with the Christian symbol is called the "smallest chapel in the world". A rumor claims that shepherds used to perform their prayers in the evening in front of the pocket knife stuck into the ground. The cross served as a substitute for a church.
Bee and feather, i.e. ressort are forged in one piece, the guilloches are chiselled by hand with file and burin in the manner of goldsmiths. All this stands for LUXE, that is luxury. Meanwhile, the series is offered under the name COLLECTION.
Natural materials vary in appearance. Color and grain, but also the bee as well as the feather are different.
