As if the juniper had caught freckles in the sun – that’s how the grain of this fragrant wood appears. Often used for smoking ham or fish, it brings not only visual but also aromatic charm to the handle.
BRUT DE FORGE refers to the traditional appearance of raw-forged steel – a time-honored technique. In this model by FORGE DE LAGUIOLE, it’s a tribute to artisanal craftsmanship. The dark forge skin is applied only after the final grinding – a process that extends production time and adds value, both aesthetically and financially.
Seven small pins form the shepherd’s cross, set into one side of the handle. This detail has led to the nickname “the smallest chapel in the world.”
Legend has it that shepherds once stuck their knife in the ground at night and knelt before the cross to say their prayers. The knife stood in as a humble church.
The bee and spring are forged as one piece, with delicate guilloché engraving filed and chiseled entirely by hand, in the manner of fine goldsmithing.
This is what the LUXE series stands for – luxury without compromise. Today, the series is offered under the name COLLECTION.
Please note:
Natural materials vary in color and pattern. The bee and spring are handcrafted and may differ slightly from piece to piece – making each knife truly unique.
