This small FRIEDRICH HARTKOPF pocket knife, model 291, represents classic Solingen craftsmanship in a compact and elegant format. Its lightweight design makes it ideal for everyday carry when reliability and discretion are equally important.
The handle is made of genuine stag horn. The material is not dyed, lacquered or stained. Color and texture are created purely by nature, which makes every handle unique. Stag horn is one of the most traditional handle materials in classic European pocket knives.
The blade is made from stainless 1.4110 steel and hardened to 56 Rockwell, offering a balanced combination of edge retention and ease of resharpening. The clip point blade shape provides a fine tip and precise control for everyday cutting tasks.
When opened, the blade is secured by a reliable backlock mechanism. A spring-loaded rocker inside the handle engages a notch in the blade tang and prevents accidental closure. To close the knife, the lock on the spine is pressed and the blade folds safely into the handle.
Each knife is handmade in Solingen, Germany, by FRIEDRICH HARTKOPF and reflects traditional German knife-making with durable construction and precise fitting.
