MERKUR Safety Razor Model 38C “Barber Pole” – Art. No. 38001

The MERKUR safety razor model 38C is a true classic of traditional wet shaving and is widely known among enthusiasts as the “Barber Pole”. The name comes from the distinctive, spiral-patterned handle, which resembles the traditional barber’s pole – the iconic symbol of barbershops around the world.

With its long, heavy and non-slip handle, the 38C sits extremely securely in the hand. This model is especially comfortable for users with larger hands. The substantial weight allows the razor to do most of the work, enabling smooth and even shaving results with very little pressure.

To change the blade, the screw at the end of the handle is loosened, allowing the top cap to be removed while the base plate remains attached to the handle.
