6/8 Professional razor Elite Carbon Böker Solingen
Razor with wide 6/8 inch blade. Ideal for experienced razor users with strong beard growth.
Handle material: carbon.
At the end of the 19th century, particularly unusual razors were sold under the Böker Elite brand. We would like to continue this tradition with this series of razors, in which the handle scales are milled from solid high-tech carbon using CNC technology and the solid 6/8" blade has two bevels on the back. Delivered in historical packaging with a certificate of authenticity.
Tradition meets modernity. The 6/8-inch blade is particularly attractive thanks to the combination of the extra-fine hollow grind with two bevels on the blade back. It is ground extra hollow with a wall and is made of classic non-stainless carbon steel. The carbon handle scales give the knife additional stability and ensure a silky-smooth blade action. This version with the popular round head is manufactured in 140 steps at the Boker knife factory in Solingen.

Classic razor of the highest quality with extra-hollow blade grind and wall
The quality of a razor depends on the complexity of the blade grind. The simplest and cheapest is the so-called ‘coarse grind’, also known as ‘axe grind’ in Solingen jargon. The blade is only flat ground, has no flexibility and does not pass the famous nail test.
The next highest quality level is the 1/4 hollow grind, which indicates a hollow grind. However, the cutting edge is still too thick to be bent on a fingernail.
The 3/4 hollow blade grind requires significantly more work and offers a certain degree of flexibility.
The Boker knife factory manufactures only classic razors of the highest quality with an extra-hollow blade grind, which is additionally finished with the famous wall. This extremely complex blade grind can only be achieved by hand by highly experienced master grinders after years of training.
The blade is ground extremely hollow in many grinding processes. It is extremely flexible and ideal for a perfect shave, as it adapts very well to all areas of the face. To prevent the blade from becoming too unstable and to ensure that the proud owner can enjoy using it for many years to come, the blade is finished with a so-called wall just above the cutting edge.
Even those unfamiliar with grinding techniques can imagine that this thickening of the full material is extremely difficult to produce. Extreme precision is required here to ensure that the blade meets our quality requirements and that the cutting edge is flexible enough to pass the nail test while still offering sufficient longitudinal stability. The extremely high-quality razor blades with extra-hollow blade grinding and wall are manufactured by hand at the Boker knife factory in almost 20 different grinding processes.
