A four-sided belt from HEROLD for use with scalpels and for sharpening gardener's knives. Musicians in the woodwind section use it to sharpen the knives used to cut the mouthpieces.
The sharpening belt is mounted on a square piece of wood. The soft Juchten leather comes from Germany, is vegetable-tanned and odorless.
Slate grinding stone makes a very fine grind. It is suitable for the final honing of normal steels before polishing, similar to a Belgian chunk.
