MERKUR in Solingen has been manufacturing this model in the iconic FUTUR design since 1986.

The firmly clamped classic razor blade can be adjusted across various levels from 1 to 6 relative to the safety bar. This allows you to alter the blade gap according to your preferences: a small gap for a gentle daily wet shave, a larger gap for a more intensive, exceptionally thorough shave. This optimal micro-adjustment feature enables you to perfectly accommodate all skin types, the skin's temporary condition, as well as varying beard densities.

A numbering system facilitates precise adjustment. The top plate of the FUTUR model can simply be pulled off to change the blade.

The sharp shop carries the FUTUR model in satin, bright chrome-plated, or gold-plated finishes. Matching shaving brushes from the same series are available in satin or polished finishes.
