A safety razor with precise blade fine adjustment for maximum control during wet shaving. The Merkur Vision, Futur and Progress models are continuously adjustable — from extremely mild to extremely close. This allows the shave to be perfectly matched to beard density, skin type, daily condition and growing shaving experience. The blade gap (lather gap) can also be adjusted for individual fine tuning.

With a handle length of 9.5 cm, the Merkur Futur 701 offers secure, well-balanced handling and sits calmly in the hand. Handle, neck, comb and cap are made of bright chrome-plated zinc die-cast, the connector and adjustment sleeve are made of brass, and the retaining springs for the cap are made of stainless steel — a robust construction designed for long-lasting, precise mechanics.

The razor measures 11.0 cm in total and weighs 120 g, providing stable, low-pressure shaving. The head cap can be easily removed for blade changes and cleaning. A numbered scale on the handle makes it easy to set and repeat your preferred shaving level.

Merkur has been manufacturing the FUTUR model in its distinctive design in Solingen since 1986. It is available in matte chrome, bright chrome and gold-plated versions. Matching shaving brushes from the same series are also available in matte or glossy finishes.

Merkur manufacturing note: The zinc die-cast parts of the FUTUR are form-bound, so the position of the drill holes is fixed by design. For galvanic coating (copper, nickel, chrome), the mechanism must have technical tolerance in order to function reliably. For this reason, the blade position on both sides is not 100% identical by design. These minimal deviations are technically necessary and have no negative effect on shaving performance or safety.

This set includes the safety razor, matching shaving bowl and one razor blade — all by Merkur. Soap, cream or foam? Vegan or traditional? The choice is yours. The result is always sharp.
