Yellow Belgian Brocken - grinding stone - whetstone on a slate base, also suitable for extremely hard steels,

trapezoidal fragments - diameter approx. 4 to 5 cm

Belgian Brocken has been mined since the 17th century.

All stones are used with water or oil (never both) and are supplied in irregular shapes, known as broken stones.

The hardness and roundness of the grains give it excellent sharpening properties. Ideal for hard steels, popular for pruning knives, hunting knives, pocket knives, etc.
