FELIX ZEPTER - these knives used to be built under the name GOLDHAMSTER, Eberhard Schaaf.
Even if the manufacturer's name changed, sometimes operating under the name SOLICUT, the knives have remained the same in terms of quality and construction.
Forged in a die from a single piece, that is, forming tools that move against each other are used. The desired shape is contained in the negative of the die. A large part of the work has to be done by hand to achieve the desired precision in the more than forty steps involved.
The appearance of FIRST CLASS is reminiscent of the architecture of the Bauhaus period. Clear, minimalist and without frills, yet of great elegance and maximum functionality. Equipped with a satin-finished blade that is characterized by its cutting durability and corrosion resistance. Balanced with a double bolster, sometimes in a light half-version, sometimes as a full bolster, the knives rest ergonomically compact and securely even in large hands. As a bowl material, polyoxymethylene in black is robust, stable and low-maintenance. The final steel cap completes the clear line. FELIX ZEPTER, founded in 1790, is one of Solingen's oldest knife manufacturers.
