DOVO model SHAVETTE with a polished blade holder.
Shaving with an interchangeable blade system has several advantages. In the hairdressing salon, a new blade is always used, for example, to precisely cut contours, cleanly depilate the neck, as well as effilate. In the private sector, newcomers to wet shaving can use it to practice whether a razor is the ideal solution for beard scraping or rather a plane or even an electric razor.
The scope of delivery includes two holders. Namely, one for classic 3-hole blades, as they originally brought GILLETTE to the standard equipment of the GIs in World War II on the market. And a long holder for long blades, as Dovo, Tondeo, Jaguar, Derby, Personna, Merkur, Astra and more manufacture. Each blade is broken into two parts before one half of it can be used. 
How to divide double-edged razor blades? While still in the protective paper, carefully break and smooth the broken parts with kitchen scissors. Or, also in the paper, immediately cut the blade with scissors.  There is always a narrow bar to cut through, almost as thin as paper.
