The cleaver, also known as a chopper, sits comfortably in the hand. This is particularly important when large pieces of meat, ribs and bones need to be cut. This makes a high dead weight of the kitchen tool necessary.
This means that you have to use less force. The sturdy, wide blade in rectangular form does the work almost by itself. A hole in the blade? This is intended to allow the cleaver to be hung up. Otherwise, the cutlery drawer would be closed due to overcrowding.
FIRST CLASS has a classically austere and correspondingly elegant appearance with a slanted end cap made of stainless steel. The balance provides a well-balanced hand position that offers great pleasure in kitchen work even for large hands. A series of hand-made and forged in one piece in the die. The blade surface is only minimally satin finished to achieve a low coefficient of friction. The polyoxymethylene handle material guarantees a highly durable, abrasion-resistant and heat-resistant behavior. Combined with the steel rivets, this series goes perfectly with fashion from Jil Sander, Giorgio Armani and EICHENLAUB cutlery.
Does the scientific name “Mesocricetus auratus” mean anything to you? Mouse-like rodents that eat everything. And hibernate. Do you also know someone like that? Are we related in the same way?
But above and beyond that, the GOLDHAMSTER, as they are called in German, was a legend when it came to the highest quality chef's knives. This success, still remembered by knife enthusiasts, was due to Eberhard Schaaf. Today, FIRST CLASS is run under the FELIX ZEPTER brand, but until 2012 the name SOLICUT was used. Solingen Cutlery, which means nothing more than cutlery from Solingen. This town is allowed to use the term Klingenstadt (City of Blades) as part of its name, which identifies it as one of the world's centers for sharp knives. This ZEPTER will no longer be given up by anyone there.
