Buy straight razors from Solingen – since 1909, Messer Röder has been your long-established specialty shop and shaving expert. In our range, you will find exclusive DOVO straight razors, with which we have collaborated successfully for decades.

We place special emphasis on classic vintage straight razors up to the 1970s. We carry high-quality historic blades from Böker, DOVO, Edaco, Gotta, and Hans Wilhelm Böker, whose outstanding steel quality and precise craftsmanship remain unmatched to this day. We are happy to acquire such extraordinary pieces and make them available to enthusiasts.

For beginners, we recommend straight razors with a blade width of 4/8 or 5/8 inch, complemented by a high-quality HEROLD leather strop for honing the blade before each shave. Use the yellow paste on the leather side and the white paste on the linen side – for perfect shaving results. Please note: a straight razor should rest for at least 24, preferably 48 hours after use, which is why experienced shaving enthusiasts often rotate multiple razors.

We also offer leather cases that safely hold up to seven straight razors, as well as handle scales, accessories, and a professional sharpening service, ensuring that your razor meets the highest standards both visually and functionally.
