From HEROLD a honing belt with two leather sides of cowhide for the final fine honing. For use with all types of knife blades, hunting knives, gardener's knives and pocket knives. The leather is vegetable tanned, abrasion resistant, tear resistant, skin friendly and anti-allergenic. 
Slots have been made in the wood of the sharpening belt so that it can spring during the sharpening process.
In addition, one side of the cowhide was impregnated with red paste, the other side with black polishing paste.
