Description:
Walnut is considered the only true European hardwood. Originally from Asia Minor, Persia, and Greece, it now thrives mostly in the Mediterranean region. In modern Germany, walnut trees prefer the southern regions, allegedly due to the sun – though mountains and good beer surely help.

This handcrafted duo – steak knife and fork – is designed to cut premium meat at the table without tearing fibers. Owners of such a knife can also claim ownership of the smallest chapel in the world: like many FORGE DE LAGUIOLE knives, a shepherd’s cross is engraved in the handle. In the past, the knife could be placed in the ground during evening prayers to serve as a Christian cross.
