The cutting edge of this SMALL COOKING KNIFE is designed in a medium pointed shape. With a blade length of 10 cm one may also speak of a lard knife. Just like the even shorter office knife, such a knife is used for preparing food. This includes peeling, cutting and cleaning vegetables and fruit, chopping herbs and cutting small pieces of meat and fish.
There is documentary evidence that since the middle of the 15th century, locksmiths at the foot of the Alps used water power. This made it possible to produce weapons, tools for agriculture and, of course, knives. Today, Maniago, with about 11,500 inhabitants, is still considered the Italian center for cutting tools.
DUE CIGNI from the city with its own knife museum presents with the series TUSCANY a greeting from Tuscany.
Light heavily grained olive wood is used here for the handle scales, which has a finger guard towards the blade and a pommel towards the hilt end. The blades are cut with a continuous tang.
The original inhabitants:inside Tuscany were the Etruscans.
They merged into a twelve city federation. And each city had its own king.
