The origins of the Clubman Pinaud brand lie in 19th century Paris, where a certain Edouard Pinaud opened his shaving soap, cream and fragrance shop. The focus was always on the high standards of the French gentleman. That is why he can still be seen today on every Clubman Pinaud label in the classic get-up with walking stick, bow tie and top hat.

Throughout his life, Edouard Pinaud invented various highly esteemed hair tonics and aftershaves and even served at the French imperial court for a time.
