For almost 100 years, cutlery manufacturer COGNET has been successful on the African market with its DOUK DOUK knife. Designed for sale in the French colonies as a utility pocket knife, the French manufacturer's trademark is a DOUK DOUK, an oceanic spirit.

The knife is flat, inexpensive, practical, robust, easy to repair, lightweight, and has a blade with an unparalleled cutting edge made of non-stainless carbon steel. The loop at the end of the handle makes it ideal for attaching to a key ring. It is a cult item, like a Zippo lighter. Of course, there are more expensive, more elegant, and more versatile knives, but personality is priceless. For cutting mushrooms, dismantling cardboard boxes, quartering apples for the dog when he wants to go easy on his teeth, and opening letters with pleasant contents.
