A metal handle serves as a grip. The leather type is purely vegetable tanned and the entire strap is made in Solingen in the house HEROLD. This version with dark coloring is also called "Russian Juchten". Because originally cattle and calves from Russian steppes were used, whose skin had absorbed fine dust particles over time, so that it resembled processed sandpaper. The fabric backs are always specially prepared on the part of the manufacturer. For the pasting of the hemp side Fr.Fr. recommends the white strop paste.
