This HUBERTUS “Fahrtenmesser” is a classic fixed-blade outdoor knife from Solingen. Article No. 30.207.LE.11 features a 12.5 cm forged carbon steel blade with a polished finish. Carbon steel is not stainless, but it is appreciated for strong cutting performance and easy resharpening.
For safer handling, the knife is fitted with a brass finger guard that helps prevent the hand from sliding forward onto the blade. The guard shape can vary slightly from piece to piece. The blade also features a fuller, often called a “blood groove” in casual language. In practice, the fuller mainly reduces weight while keeping the blade stable.
The leather handle provides a traditional feel and comfortable grip. After use, especially in damp conditions, the carbon steel blade should be cleaned, dried and lightly oiled to prevent corrosion and to keep the knife in top condition.
The knife comes with a black leather sheath with belt loop and rivets, secured by a metal snap button. A solid outdoor companion for camping, hunting and collectors who appreciate classic Solingen knife design.
