The Magnum Rangebuster is a lightweight slipjoint pocket knife that features a satin finished 440A blade.
Slipjoint knives do not have a mechanical locking mechanism. Instead, when they are open, the blade is retained solely by a spring attached to the end of the blade spine. Slipjoints are among the most widely used locking forms of classic folding knives.
Rivets and liners are made of nickel silver, and the flat handle scales are made of brown micarta. The Rangebuster is one of the classic knife styles that have gained international notoriety from Solingen and is prized by countless workers around the world. It is known to American farmers as a sodbuster, to miners in the mines of northern France as a miner, and to Solingen workers as a hippekniep.
