MARTTIINI has been making knives for hunting and fishing in the Arctic Circle since 1928. And because a certain type of grind is often used there, it is also called the "Scandi grind", which stands for Scandinavia. When sharpening such knives, the cutting angle can be easily maintained, thus preserving the blade geometry. The use of birch wood is also widespread in the north. It is a very light material, with an elegant grain. In the TUNDRA model, it is also ideally combined with light-coloured leather as a quiver sheath.
