The Journeymen of Duty - The "Compagnons du devoir" are a French organization of craftsmen and artists that dates back to the Middle Ages. Their traditional training and purpose includes apprenticeships in many locations throughout France, meeting the master craftsmen of each region.
Benoit Salesses' passion was folding knives and their mechanism. "What I like about knife making is the opportunity to work with different materials, to create and make an indispensable object that has existed for thousands of years.
