 HELMENSDORFER pans come from Lindau on Lake Constance, a region belonging to the district of Swabia.
And what are the Swabians known to do best? Keeping their money together.
That's where the dog in the pan goes crazy, because with a HELMENSDORFER you can save up to 50% on energy costs.
You only need the medium heat, then the iron will not warp. And you switch on the highest heat only
when you want to sear meat.
Then you may have the pan hot, which in the German language also means: slightly crazy, not quite in your right mind.
I don't have one on the pan, which means I'm not drunk when I tell you that HELMENSDORFER iron pans are suitable for all types of stove.

Far be it from me to bash you in the pan, but you absolutely must know: HELMENSDORFER pans are three millimeters thick,
are manufactured in Bavarian hammer forges and are perhaps also therefore like every Bavarian and every Bavarian a unique specimen.
The arrangement of the hammer blows is different in every pan.
They store heat for a very long time, which is where the Swabian nature prevails again. Economy. They are not coated,
extremely robust, and you can even scratch around in them without causing permanent damage.
You don't even need a dishwasher, because they're not allowed in there in the first place.
Use only hot water for cleaning, leave the detergent on the shelf, and a light film of grease, a patina gained, in the pan after wiping it out will blot out any possible rust. And if anything gets stuck in the pan besides the proverbial dog that doesn't belong there: it's certainly easy to boil away with water.
Connoisseurs and professional kitchen scrapers have something on the pan, these hammer-forged iron pans belong to their basic equipment because of their excellent frying properties.
In 1864 the company was founded by M.HELMENSDORFER at the Swabian Sea, specialized in the production of iron pans for the hotel and restaurant industry.
