The term “le bredouille” originates from French fishing language and describes the situation when an angler returns home empty-handed without catching a fish. The word developed from the expression “bredouille”, whose exact linguistic origin is uncertain, and over time became a symbol for an unsuccessful attempt.
Today the phrase is also used outside fishing and generally refers to a venture that ends without success. The engraved fish motif on this GRAVOO pocket knife is therefore a subtle and humorous reference to fishing culture.
The combination of a satin finished 440C stainless steel blade, natural beechwood handle and detailed engraving makes this knife both a practical everyday tool and an elegant collector’s piece. A distinctive French pocket knife for anglers, outdoor enthusiasts and lovers of traditional craftsmanship.
