Immerse yourself in the world of the hand-forged "Madera" chef's knife series, where timeless craftsmanship meets modern flair.
The skilled forging and sharpening experts put all their expertise and dedication into each knife to ensure a top-quality product for your culinary pleasure.
MATERIAL & FINENESS: The knife blades are made using proven drop forging techniques that have been tried and tested for over a century. Forged from first-class stainless steel, these knives promise exceptional sharpness and long-lasting edge retention. Thanks to the half-height hand guard, the design combines a continuous thin blade with optimum protection. Even if you slip, there is no risk of injury. The handle and blade are joined by a special heat-resistant adhesive that firmly bonds the handle to the tang. The Solingen sharpening experts then ensure a seamless transition between handle and blade.
HANDLES & HANDLING: The handles of the Madera series are ergonomically designed: - The walnut handle is carefully oiled to preserve its natural beauty and durability. The küchenmesesr offers perfect balance and comfortable handling. They are manufactured in our in-house joinery - from the raw wood to the final product. This ensures first-class quality at every stage of production.

Friedr. Herder Abr. Sohn has been manufacturing knives, scissors and tools for a wide range of applications since 1727.
Traditional production techniques combined with constant further development make these products of the highest quality and long-lasting sharpness.
