In connection with the sale of batteries or rechargeable batteries, or products that contain batteries or rechargeable batteries as supplied accessories or permanently installed, we are obliged as a dealer under the Battery Act (BattG) to inform our customers of the following:

You are legally obligated to return used batteries as an end user. You can return used batteries that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range free of charge to a municipal collection point, to local dealers or to us (Messer Rödter, Marienstrasse 11, D-95028 Hof, Germany).

The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:

Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 percent mercury by mass.
Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium.
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004 mass percent lead.
