The Böker Scout has been firmly associated with the Böker name since 1985. Whether anyone would have expected back then that the pocket knife would become one of the most successful and popular knives from our program, no one can say today. But these many years are definitely special in times of short-lived fads, which are not uncommon in the knife market either. The variants of the Scout were during this time probably more numerous than of hardly any other model, however, nothing was ever changed in the key data.

The Böker Boy Scout breaks with this tradition and offers a smaller, more pocket-friendly version with the same design, which plays to its strengths primarily as a compact companion in everyday life. With a significantly reduced blade length, the Boy Scout also builds much flatter, but is just as robust and durable as its big brother. To increase precision, the nickel silver scales are CNC machined. The hollow ground N690 stainless blade contributes to the Scout's incomparable appearance with its memorable shape. A classic backlock takes over the locking function and keeps the blade securely open.

The mechanism hidden inside the handle consists of a bolt rocker and a spring. When the blade is unfolded, the bolt rocker engages a recess in the blade, locking it in place. The rear end of the bolt rocker is not completely covered by the handle, but is partially exposed due to a small recess on the back of the handle, so that it can be operated. If the exposed rear end of the bolt rocker is now pressed, the hook lifts out of the notch so that the lock is released and the blade can be folded in. The pleasantly shaped handle scales made of genuine redwood tooth round off the harmonious image of the classic.

A special feature of mammoth teeth as a material is that they show clear discolorations due to the often many tens of thousands of years of storage in the ice, which are quite different from tooth to tooth and give each specimen a very individual appearance. The discolorations were caused by cracks in the outer bark of the tooth. Through these cracks, water and other substances entered the interior of the tooth and formed mineral deposits that discolored the mammoth's tooth. With certificate of authenticity and individual serial number.
