WIDDERHORN, the ram's headdress, is easily recognizable by the cross grooves. 
DAMAST is melted together from different metal blocks to combine several properties. Hardness is used for sharpness, soft steel for elasticity, to give way and not break. The more layers are folded, the more expensive the result. 
Processed as a PLEIN MANCHE, i.e. a handle without attached metal bolsters. Lighter in weight, it demands the highest skill from the maker in the perfect finishing of the handle. A shepherd's cross was omitted to avoid breakouts. 
LUXE stands for luxury that is always and exclusively produced by a FORGE DE LAGUIOLE master. In most cases, the LUXE models - the series is now known as the COLLECTION - feature chasing and guillochage in goldsmith quality right down to the back of the blade. The blade and nib are always forged from a single piece.
Please remember that a quietly closed spring makes the knife last longer. A rattling snapping noise when closing is not good for the mechanism. 
Horn is a natural material whose grain and coloring can vary. The bee and spring are also manufactured individually.
