The wood of the olive is light in color, hard and finely grained. The evergreen plant is never left bare in warm regions. The smaller, the more often it is cut, the more crooked and gnarled, the greater its fruit yield. It is at its most productive after around twenty years.
The LUXE series from FORGE DE LAGUIOLE, now known as the COLLECTION, is distinguished by its higher quality attributes. The guilloches made by hand on the ressort with an awl and file extend to the back of the blade. 
A model with an 11 cm handle length made from Mediterranean wood. Metal pins inlaid into the scales form the shepherd's cross. Truly Starck!
French designer and architect Philippe Starck has created the company headquarters of FORGE DE LAGUIOLE at an altitude of around 1300 meters. An aluminum façade with an oversized blade reaching towards the sky. More than one hundred people now work there to produce the most exclusive and expensive knives. It takes five to six years to learn how to make such a knife. And always from one hand, from start to finish. 
Natural materials vary in their appearance. Color and grain, but also the bee and the feather are different.  On request, we will send you a photograph of the knives available for selection.
