This model is one of VICTORINOX's mid-range pocket knives. The origin of the SPARTAN lies in the legendary officer's knife. 
You can open a bottle of beer as well as a bottle of your favourite wine, you could, if necessary, really only if necessary, make a marriage-with-ring-cover. Or celebrate your own body piercing in the presence of the brilliant musician Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with the available piercing awl. Because the ring is always there. 
At the age of twenty-two, the Salzburg native was travelling in France with his mother. Now in the 18th century this was anything but comfortable and the marvellous Wolfgang Amadeus was chronically short of money. He was also considered a "hackenstad", i.e. unemployed despite his best efforts. Anna Maria, his mother, became melancholy during the rigours of a coach journey and died. With great difficulty, a lone figure was found to accompany the poor Filius, giving the coffin with his mother's body a final escort. When Mozart himself died in 1791, he was buried in a nameless grave in the St Marx cemetery. None of his family accompanied the deceased. For me, this is one of the saddest stories I have ever heard.
