The workshop is located in Espalion, a town 23 km from Laguiole.

Laguiole Village was born from the collaboration of two people: F. Blandinieres, with more than 40 years of experience in aviation, and C. Capelle, who co-founded the famous Laguiole brand more than 25 years ago.

Laguiole Village has opted for creation and innovation from the very beginning.

Laguiole pieces are cut with water and sand, an ecological process that allows great flexibility in production and, above all, better quality in assembly. This type of process also allows the creation of new models.

Two new knives have been created: the Espalion and the Antartica.

The Espalion is the knife of the company's home town. The shape of the handle, whether made of boxwood, olive wood, ebony, fibreglass, carbon fibre, horn tip, etc., is inspired by the old bridge of the city. This knife is available with 1 bolster, full tang, with corkscrew. There is also a refined model for women.

The Antartica was developed in collaboration with Jean-Louis Etienne, the great French explorer. In fact, the explorer launched the Polar Pod mission in Antarctica. The aim of this mission is to collect data for scientists and researchers in order to protect the environment.

Laguiole Village has applied for a patent and is the first and only cutlery company to produce a table knife with a forged bee. Although the folding Laguiole knife with the forged bee has been around for a very long time, no cutlery company had yet taken on this challenge for the Laguiole table knife.
