It could hardly be more classic. A European COOKING KNIFE with a blade length of twenty centimeters, which is about the length of an elbow. In our latitudes, the food on the plate is cut up by the person dining. Ergo, our cooking knives are comparatively large and heavy. In the Aisatian region, food is chopped before it is cooked, so the blades used there are shorter.
There is documentary evidence that since the middle of the 15th century locksmiths at the foot of the Alps used water power. This made it possible to produce weapons, tools for agriculture and, of course, knives. Today, Maniago, with about 11,500 inhabitants, is still considered the Italian center for cutting tools.
DUE CIGNI from the city with its own knife museum presents with the series TUSCANY a greeting from Tuscany.
Light heavily grained olive wood is used for the handle scales, which is provided with a finger guard towards the blade and a pommel towards the hilt end. The blades with a continuous tang are cut.
Tuscany with its capital Florence has about 3.7 million inhabitants. Its heraldic animal is a silver Pegasus on a red background. That is, a winged horse.
