A two-piece steak cutlery set from EICHENLAUB from Solingen. The steak knife is one of the few cutlery knives with a pointed blade designed to make cutting meat easier. The model presented here is the table size, i.e. the large version. Not only for steak and other types of meat, but also for asparagus and pizza.
If you don't like hand washing, you don't need to read any further. 
Because such fine cutlery needs to be cleaned by hand. Exclusively. After all, the manufacturing process itself was a masterpiece involving over 120 steps. For every fork, this means that the tines are carefully worked and repelled so that they are still sharp enough to spear a piece of meat without any problems. Ebony, a well-traveled precious wood, was used for the handle scales. Dark in color, sometimes with brown veining, it has been a luxury good for centuries, once originating from Ceylon. However, the supply there has been exhausted and today wood from Africa is used.
