Copper Mercator with clip. I admit, for the uninitiated this may sound confusing. Let me explain a little. 
Since 1995, the knife manufacturer OTTER has been producing MERCATOR models in over one hundred steps. Still by hand. In Solingen. That is why you will find a fish marten, i.e. an otter, on the copper handle. On the back of the handle, this version has a clip for mounting.
The name of the original manufacturer was Kaufmann. Translated into Latin, the gentleman's name was MERCATOR. Heinrich Kaufmann built the Mercator knife as an all-rounder from 1867. 
C75 carbon steel, also known as DIN 1.248, is as easy to work as it is to forge, which makes it ideal for forging knife blades. Its carbon content is 0.7 - 0.8 %.
