A hollow blade of the file is used to shape the nail. And so this is a shaped file from ZWILLING HENCKELS.
Basically, files should be guided in one direction, from the outer edge of the nail towards the centre, with the coarse side shaping and the fine side smoothing.  The handle end of this model is flattened so that it can act as a cuticle pusher.  After filing, applying an oil to the nail bed and nail is advised to prevent breakage. In turn, the file can be cleaned of filing dust by running water. Then blow dry with a lint-free cloth or a hairdryer. It would be more energy-saving if you could use the motor fan for drying while vacuuming. You just have to stretch a little. But don't forget: Most accidents happen in the home.
