A touring knife has the shape of a bird's beak for manoeuvrability. Predestined for carving and peeling work, the verb "tourner" is derived from the French language, in which vegetables are turned in the hand during cutting. This achieves the same size and cooking time.
Series 1905 - The exclusives. This is how FRIEDRICH DICK describes these chef's knives. A homage to Art Nouveau, which characterises the transition from the nineteenth to the twentieth century. Significant are the stainless steel ferrules, which replace the usual rivets. They are just as hygienic because they are completely joint-free and inseparable from the handle material made of polyoxymethylene, a highly resilient plastic. The F.DICK labelling is embossed by hand. The blade is slim ground, polished and perfectly balanced. To facilitate continuous sharpening and reduce weight, the cutting tools have a half bolster.
1905 - In Styria, six out of ten boys who are in a cherry tree during a thunderstorm are fatally struck by lightning. In Dresden, "Salome" has the head of Jochanaan served to her for the first time on a silver dish to the music of Richard Strauss.
Questions about the Mest, Knief or Schneiddeiferl, all one. Buy your chef's knives at Messer RÖDTER since 1909, the year of the world premiere of Richard Strauss' "Elektra" in Dresden.
