At HELMENSDORFER, the hotel and restaurant industry buys the hammer-forged iron skillets. Because they have experience since the founding in 1864 in Lindau on Lake Constance, because each pan is unique. And because these pans, with due attention outlive us all, with the still gaining flavor every year.
In addition to fish, the elongated body is also suitable for chops, schnitzel, cordon bleu, steaks. Wonderfully crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside with a terrific flavor. And enough space to turn a roast or poultry.
Features:
- economical in energy consumption: add only 50% heat, except when searing meat
- scratch resistant
- Suitable for all types of stoves: electric, ceramic, induction, gas, wood, coal stoves, grill

Care:
Before the first use, burn the pan to prepare it optimally for a lifetime. There are several instructions on how to do this.
And this is also the only time in life that your Helmendsdorf pan should come into contact with detergent: The thorough first cleaning with hot water and dishwashing detergent without scraping tools to remove the rust protection. This consists mostly of beeswax or olive oil. Then dry well and begin the baking process.
Always clean such pans by hand if anything ever builds up: Heat the pan with water, then it should be possible to loosen and remove the set cake.
Storage of the pan is best done after wiping it out with a little grease, rubbing the same inside to avoid rust.
Please do not use acidic foods, such as sauerkraut, or tomatoes, strawberries, raspberries, vinegar, lemons or wine, because these substances attack the beautiful steel blue surface and make it unsightly. Use this large pan on the largest cooking surface so that the bottom of the pan does not warp. And, pay attention: Always heat such pans slowly so that the material does not deform due to heat. Can you smell the roast yet?
